"Atlas" is a 13 song World/Jazz/Soul/Funk groover that takes the listener on a journey around the globe. Produced by Barrett and legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino, and featuring some of the top players in the Seattle music scene, the album can purchased now as a CD, a digital download on I-Tunes, and it can be heard in full streaming audio here on the Sunyata Records site.

NEW SCREAMING TREES CD "LAST WORDS: THE FINAL RECORDINGS" IS NOW AVAILABLE Between the winter and summer months of 1998-99, Seattle band Screaming Trees recorded their last batch of songs before disbanding in June of 2000. Those final sessions, produced by Trees drummer Barrett Martin, feature guest appearances by REM's Peter Buck and QOTSA/Trees guitarist Josh Homme. The album was recently mixed by the band's longtime friend, Jack Endino, and was released as a digital download on August 2nd, 2011 on Barrett's label, Sunyata Records. The CD can be purchased here and can be heard in full streaming audio by clinking on the Sunyata Records link, which also has a link to I-Tunes if you would like to download the album.
TAKING PUNK TO THE MASSESS The music exhibit "Taking Punk To The Masses" has officially opened in Seattle at the EMP Museum and there is even a book with a DVD that tells the story directly with the words of America's first wave of punk, alternative, and grunge musicians. ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY Barrett has been appointed adjunct professor of music at Antioch University, the famed liberal arts institution in Seattle, WA. He is currently teaching classes on indigenous music, music as socio-political commentary, and music as spiritual expression and he is enjoying his new students immensely. Check out Antioch University, it is ranked as one of the top ten community-oriented universities in the United States.
"ZENGA AND THE ART OF PERCUSSION" WINS AN EMMY The PBS short documentary about Barrett's drumming and Zen painting titled, "Zenga And The Art Of Percussion", has won a 2009 Emmy in the New Media Arts category. Produced by director Deborah Wakshull, the short clip can be viewed here.
